In Cyver Core, in addition to your standard pentest report, you can generate an "External Report" version. This allows you to exclude highly technical or sensitive sections so you can safely share the document with external parties, such as third-party vendors, clients, or auditors.
To use this feature, you first need to enable and configure the external download option within your Report Template.
Configure the Report Template
Navigate to Settings > Report Templates from the left-hand menu.
Locate the report template you would like to generate an external version for. Click the three dots (
...) in the Actions column and select Edit.Navigate to the PDF settings tab.
Scroll down to the External Report section and check the box to Enable external report PDF download.
A Select report sections list will appear. Check the boxes next to the specific sections you want to include in the external report (e.g., Executive Summary).
Tip: If all your custom sections do not appear in the list right away, please save the report template first, then re-open it.
Click Save.
Download the External Report
Once the template is configured, you can generate the document directly from your project.
Navigate to your project and open the Report tab.
Apply the template changes to your current project data based on what you updated:
If you only updated settings (e.g., you only checked the "External PDF" box): Click the three dots (
...) at the top right of the report window and select Apply Report Template Settings. This applies the new configuration while preserving any custom text edits you've already made inside the report editor.If you updated template content (e.g., you added new sections or edited the template text): Click the + New Version dropdown and select Generate Report from Report Template to pull in the fresh content and sections.
Next, click Generate Report PDF. This step is required for the download options to appear.
Once the standard PDF is generated, a new Download External Report PDF button will appear at the top of the report window.
Click it to download a PDF containing only the safe, pre-selected sections you configured.
