Generate Report from Report Template
Generate Report from Report Template is used when you make changes directly to the report template used for this project.
In this case, the Report Template is called Demo Report (v1).
If you make any changes to the Report Template (at yourdomain/App/ReportTemplates), either in structure or styling, you need to click Generate Report from Report Template for those changes to be reflected in the project’s report.
A new version of the project’s report will be created.
Duplicate from Report Version
Duplicate from Report Version is used to clone the current version of the project’s report.
When you click Duplicate from Report Version, a new version of the project’s report will be created.
You can move between versions by clicking on the Version list.
Delete Version
Delete Version deletes the current version of the project’s report.
When you click Delete Version, you will be moved to the previous version of the report.
You can then use Generate Report from Report Template or Duplicate from Report Version to create a new version.
Refresh Tokens Data
Refresh Tokens Data is used when you have updated any data and need to refresh the token results.
For example, if you’ve added a new finding, changed a finding’s status, or modified client data.
When you click Refresh Tokens Data, the version of the project’s report remains the same, but its content is updated.
Apply Report Template Settings
Apply Report Template Settings is used when you make changes to the Report Template settings, such as updating the CSS or adjusting other template settings.
When you click Apply Report Template Settings, only those setting changes are applied to the current report.
The report version remains the same.
Change the Report Template used in a Project
When working with Report Templates in a project (Pentest), you can also change the Report Template from one to another.
For example, you can switch from Demo Report (v1) to another template from the list at yourdomain/App/ReportTemplates.
-
Go to the Actions button in the top right corner.
-
Click Settings to open the project settings.
-
Open the Report tab, select a new report template from the list (for example, Demo Report (v2)), and click Save.
-
After saving, you will notice that nothing changes immediately — the template still appears as Demo Report (v1), version one.
To apply the change, click Generate Report from Report Template. -
Once you do this, the template will be updated, and a new version of the report will be created.
