The platform applies certain limits to the report generation process to prevent the creation of unnecessarily large reports that may not be relevant for end-users.
Report PDF Generation limits
The following limits are applied during the report generation process and will block the creation of a PDF report:
- Max findings in {Finding_Details} tokens: The default limit is 250.
- Max visible evidences per finding in {Finding_Details} tokens: The default limit is 50.
- Max evidence fields characters in {Finding_Details} tokens: The default limit is 10,000.
These limits apply exclusively to the {Finding_Details} tokens.
Below are sample error messages that appear when a report exceeds one or more of the limits.
How to Work Around the Limits?
To bypass these limits, you can reduce the number of visible findings within the {Finding_Details} tokens by applying filters, for example, by "Type" or "Severity." Learn how to apply filters to the {Finding_Details} tokens.
How to Adjust the Limits?
You can adjust these limits in the Report Template settings. To increase the maximum limits, please contact our support desk.
PDF Report Page Threshold Limitations
When a PDF report exceeds the default page threshold, the following limitations are applied to ensure the report can be generated within a reasonable amount of time.
- The logo image in the header and footer is removed.
- Page numbers in the Table of Contents are removed.
The default page limit threshold is 700 pages.
PDF Report Generation Timeout
Report generation has a default timeout of 1800 seconds. If a report takes longer than this time to generate, the process will be stopped.
The timeout can be changed per tenant settings by contacting our support desk.
