Parse Assets From Text feature streamlines the process of associating findings with assets. Instead of manually searching for and adding each asset, this tool allows you to copy and paste a list of asset names directly into a text field.
The system then automatically parses the text, identifying assets based on the delimiters you use, such as commas, semicolons, or new lines. This ensures you can quickly and accurately link a finding to all relevant assets in your project.
1. Navigate to the Pentests section in the left-hand menu.
2. Select the relevant Pentest from the list.
3. Go to the Findings menu within the Pentest Dashboard.
4. Click on the specific Finding you wish to edit.
5. Click the Edit button
6. Move to the Assets tab
7. Select + Add From Text button to open the parsing window.
8. In the parsing window, you have two options for matching assets:
Assets from this Pentest: Select this option from the dropdown menu to match pasted asset names against only the assets currently associated with the project.
All assets from client: Select this option to match pasted asset names against all assets belonging to the client, even if they are not part of the current project.
9. Paste the asset names you want to select into the text field. You can use commas, semicolons, or new lines to separate the names.
10. After pasting, the system will display a list of both matched and unmatched assets. You can then select which of the matched assets you want to add to the finding. Unmatched assets will be ignored.
10. Click the Add button and then Save to confirm your selection.
12. The selected assets will now be added to the finding.
