The GenAI Copilot is not just for generating new content; it is also a powerful editing tool. With the Rewrite Text feature, you can instantly polish your finding descriptions, fix typos, adjust the tone, or translate content into another language directly within the finding editor.
This feature allows you to select specific text within a field and apply a pre-configured AI prompt to transform it.
How to Rewrite Text
You can use the GenAI Copilot on all major text fields within a finding, including Description, Impact Description, Likelihood Description, Background Information and Remediation.
Navigate to a finding and click Edit.
Highlight the specific text you want to change inside any text field (e.g., the Remediation field).
Click the Rewrite Text button.
A modal will appear displaying your available Rewrite Prompts. Select the action you want to perform (e.g., "Fix Typo", "Rewrite Text", "Translate to Spanish").
The GenAI Copilot will process your request and display a preview of the new text.
Review the suggested change. If you are satisfied, click Apply to replace your original selection with the AI-generated text.
Rewrite Multiple Findings at Once (Batch Action)
You can save time by applying GenAI prompts to multiple findings simultaneously directly from the Findings grid. This is useful for standardizing language or fixing common issues across several findings at once.
Navigate to the Findings tab within your project.
Select the findings you want to edit by checking the boxes on the left side of the grid. You can also select all findings by checking Select all entries.
Once selected, click the Rewrite Text button.
In the GenAI Copilot modal that appears, choose a Prompt from the dropdown menu and select the specific text Fields (e.g., Description, Remediation) you wish to modify.
Click Apply.
Click Yes to confirm and complete the process.
Configuring Rewrite Prompts
To make these options available to your team, you must first configure the prompts in the system settings. This allows you to standardize how your team uses AI (e.g., creating a standard "Formal Tone" prompt).
Go to Settings > GenAI Copilot Settings from the left-hand menu.
Click on the Rewrite Text Prompt tab.
Here you can view all existing prompts. To add a new one, click + New AI Prompt.
Define the Prompt: Give it a Title (which the user sees in the menu) and the instruction for the AI.
Status: Set the status to Published to make it visible to your team.
