Client Portal Settings Templates allow you to standardize and streamline how you configure client portals across your organization.
Instead of manually toggling features, such as API access, integrations, or specific insight dashboards, for every single client, you can create reusable templates. These templates ensure consistency and significantly speed up the client onboarding process.
Creating a New Template
To create a standard configuration for your clients:
Navigate to Settings > Client Settings from the left-hand menu.
Click on the Client Portal Settings Templates tab.
Click the + Create New Template button.
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the template (e.g., "Standard Client", "VIP Client", "Minimal Access").
Status: Set the status to Draft or Published.
Note: Only "Published" templates can be selected and applied to active clients.Client Portal Features: Check the boxes for all settings you want to enable for this template. This includes specific integrations (Jira, Azure DevOps), View permissions (Insights, Findings Activity), and capabilities (Request Pentest button).
Click Save.
Applying a Template to a Client
Once you have created your templates, applying them to a client takes just a few clicks.
Click Clients from the left-hand menu and select the relevant client.
Navigate to the Client Portal tab.
Locate the Client Portal Settings Template toggle at the top of the page and switch it to enable.
Click Select Template.
A modal will appear. Select your desired Template from the dropdown menu.
Click Save.
Once saved, the settings on the page will update to reflect the template configuration. You will notice the individual toggles are now managed by the template.
Managing Templates (Edit & Delete)
You can update your templates at any time.
Go to Settings > Client Settings.
Open the Client Portal Settings Templates tab.
Locate the template you wish to change.
Under the Actions column, click the three dots (...).
Select Edit to change the name, status, or feature settings.
Select Delete to remove the template permanently.
Disabling a Template (Reverting to Manual Settings)
If you need to make unique customizations for a specific client or return to manual control, you can disable the template connection.
When you switch the Client Portal Settings Template toggle to Off, the client’s portal settings will automatically revert to the specific configuration they had before the template was applied. You can then manually enable or disable individual features for that client without affecting the template itself.
Assigning a Template to a New Client
You can streamline your onboarding process by selecting a template immediately when you add a new client to the platform.
In the New client form, you will find an option to select a Client Portal Settings Template.
Select a Template: The new client will be created with all portal features pre-configured according to the chosen template.
Leave Blank: If no template is selected, the new client will be created using the system default settings.
