The Findings tab in Continuous Projects dynamically adapts to your selected Use Case and the current state of your workflow. To prevent data conflicts and streamline navigation, the platform automatically toggles specific views, buttons, and settings.
This guide breaks down the interface rules and behaviors you will encounter based on your project configuration.
1. Manual Import Run based
When your project is set to Manual Import Run based, the interface adjusts to ensure you properly build and complete your draft before mixing new data with historical runs.
Project Settings
Because no scanner is needed, the Vulnerability Scanner tab is hidden from the settings.
When You Have NO Draft Findings (Empty Draft)
Default Display: Clicking the Findings tab will automatically open the Complete display.
Button Visibility: You will see the Import/Export and New Finding buttons in both the Complete display and the Draft display. This allows you to easily initiate a new draft from either view.
Complete Draft Run Button: The Complete Draft Run button is visible in the Draft display but is disabled until you add at least one finding.
When You HAVE Draft Findings (Active Draft)
Default Display: Clicking the Findings tab will automatically open the Draft display to keep your focus on the active iteration.
Complete Draft Run Button: Once your draft contains 1 or more findings, the Complete Draft Run button becomes active and clickable.
Button Visibility: The Import/Export and New Finding buttons remain active in the Draft display. However, they are hidden in the Complete display to prevent you from accidentally adding findings outside of your active draft cycle.
2. Integrated Scanner Run based
When your project relies on an automated vulnerability scanner, manual data entry is restricted to maintain synchronization integrity.
Project Settings
You cannot save the project configuration without explicitly selecting a Vulnerability Scanner from the dropdown.
Interface Restrictions
Complete Display Removed: The Complete display button is entirely removed from the grid.
Manual Actions Removed: The Import/Export and New Finding buttons are completely removed from the interface, as all data ingestion is handled automatically by the integrated scanner.
3. Locked Finding Statuses
By default in Continuous Projects, changing a finding to a closed status (such as Fixed, Accepted, or False Positive) is restricted.
If you need to manually override a finding's status, you must click the lock icon next to the Closed category in the status menu to unlock the options.
