Cyver Core allows you to customize the branding and content of your system emails. If you manage multiple brands, operate under different legal entities, or have specific clients that require tailored communication, you can create and manage multiple Email Template Versions and assign them accordingly.
Every tenant comes with two default versions:
Default: Contains the standard, uncustomized system email templates. This version cannot be edited or deleted.
Custom: A version containing any previously customized email templates.
Create a New Email Template Version
Instead of editing templates one by one every time, you can create a completely new set (version) of templates. When you create a new version, it automatically copies all the base system emails, ready for you to customize.
Navigate to Administration > Email Templates from the left-hand menu.
-
Click the + Create Template button at the top right.
(Alternatively, click the
...menu on the right side of an existing template's details and select Duplicate Template).
In the modal, enter a Template Name and click Save.
Customize Individual Emails
Once your new template version is created, you can customize the specific emails within it.
Select your newly created version from the Email Template dropdown at the top of the page.
In the list below, locate the specific email you want to modify.
Click the three dots (
...) in the Actions column and select Customize.-
Here you can:
Modify the Subject line.
Format the text, add links, or insert images (like a company logo or signature).
Insert dynamic data using the Email Tokens dropdown.
Click Save. Note: Changes made here only affect the currently selected template version. The base system templates remain unchanged.
Set the Global Active Template
You must select which template version acts as the primary, default version for your entire organization.
Select the desired template version from the Email Template dropdown.
Click the three dots (
...) located at the top right of the template details section.Select Set as Active.
The status badge will change from Inactive to Active.
This globally active template will be used for all emails sent to pentesters, as well as any client emails that do not have a specific template assigned to them.
Associate a Template Version with a Client
If you have a client that requires a specific set of branded emails, you can override the global active template just for them. There are two ways to do this:
Option 1: Direct Client Assignment
Navigate to Clients from the left-hand menu.
Select the client.
Go to the Client Portal tab.
Scroll down to the Email Template section and click the Select Template button.
In the modal, choose your desired template version from the dropdown menu and click Save.
Option 2: Via Client Portal Settings Templates
If you use Client Portal Settings Templates to manage configurations across multiple clients consistently:
Navigate to Settings > Client Settings from the left-hand menu.
Go to the Client Portal Settings Templates tab.
Click the three dots (
...) next to the existing template and select Edit.In the configuration modal, locate the Select Email Template dropdown near the bottom.
Choose the desired email template version and click Save. Any client using this settings template will automatically inherit the selected email template.
How Email Routing Works:
Emails to Clients: The system will check if a specific template version is associated with the client (either directly or via a Client Portal Settings Templates). If yes, it uses that version. If no, it falls back to the global Active template.
Emails to Pentesters: The system will always use the global Active template, regardless of which client project they are working on.
